Companies have been sending potential operators to NCT for heavy equipment training for over a decade to increase productivity, avoid costly OSHA citations, and decrease or eliminate work stoppages and on-the-job accidents. Nationwide Crane Training is also a wonderful resource for independent workers who want to become heavy equipment operators in order to make more money and increase their own job placement prospects.
Our heavy equipment operator school is designed to give you the best training possible in a timely fashion that fits their busy schedules.
We offer:
- Expert trainers with decades of experience

In-Person Heavy Equipment Classes
NCT’s on-site heavy equipment operator classes are administered year-round at our facilities in Iowa, California, Nevada, and other U.S. locations upon request. We offer classes open to inexperienced and experienced operators employed by large companies as well as individual owner/operators.
In order to make the most of this unique resource, we suggest companies schedule their operators’ training classes across a span of a month or two in order to accommodate the most operators possible in the least amount of time. (However, if our boot camps or open-enrollment classes don’t fit your schedule, we also offer private on-site classes as well.)
Benefits of In-Person Classes
The in-person, on-site training offered by NCT’s heavy equipment operator school is a huge asset that allows companies to train all of their operators quickly and with fewer hassles. Our sessions get operators up to speed with the minimum disruption to work schedules or job timelines.
In addition, in-person training:
- Is open to all, including small businesses and individuals
- Provides high-quality training from expert operators
- Is less expensive than private classes
- Can accommodate large numbers of operators at once with no minimum attendance limitations
- Can be requested nationwide (provided there’s enough local interest)
Expert Instructors Maximize Your Training Time
In the construction and demolition business, time is money. Nationwide Crane Training knows that you don’t have time to spare. If you’re a large company, you can’t afford to send multiple operators away for training and risk that they’ll fail the actual exams. If you’re a small company or an independent owner/operator, every hour you spend in the classroom is an hour out of your paycheck.
That’s why NCT has enlisted expert instructors from a wide variety of backgrounds. Our NCCCO-accredited instructors bring a wide range of experience from a variety of careers including Military, Firefighting, FEMA, IUOE Union, CALOSHA, and FEDOSHA.
You get the absolute best training available during our on-site heavy equipment classes.
Our instructors teach operators:
- Safety fundamentals
- Signaling
- Inspection
- Maintenance
And much more!
Our Equipment, Your Operators
In addition, our heavy equipment classes eliminate the need to use your company’s equipment for training purposes. We bring the necessary equipment to facilitate the learning and practical exams. That means you don’t have to sacrifice your equipment for the duration of the course—or have to sacrifice your training because you don’t have equipment of your own. This saves a ton of time, hassle, and money because your equipment stays right at your job sites. No need to get it tested or weighed, get CADs, or transport it to the class location for setup. Because your equipment stays on-site, you can cycle all of your operators through our programs, so you’re never left with idle machinery.

NCT has its bases of operation at our two state-of-the-art training facilities in California and Iowa. We offer in-house classes with the same quality education, attention to detail, and exacting standards at either of these two campuses. Classes run year-round and can accommodate five or more at once.
If neither works for you, we can bring the training to you. Our programs are completely mobile, based on interest. We’ve offered remote open-enrollment classes in multiple locations such as Nevada, Texas, and Alabama.
